COVID School Report Card

The COVID-19 School Report Card dashboard provides daily updates on the reopening status and COVID testing results for the staff and students participating in-person instruction on our campuses. We also provide information on the past seven days of COVID testing among all of the schools located in the same Community of Schools, along with District-wide results as well. Information on community case rates are based on publicly-available data from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

Close Contact protocol

Close Contact: A Close Contact is a person who shared the same indoor airspace with the infected person during the infectious period (beginning 48-hours before the Index Case’s Positive test result or symptom onset) for 15 cumulative minutes or more over a 24-hour period. Persons with an outdoor exposure at school are not considered close contacts.

POSITIVE COVID TEST PROTOCOL

Positive Test Results: If an individual tests positive using a rapid antigen test, the individual should follow isolation protocols and stay at home, and upload the positive test result to Daily Pass as soon as possible. Positive test results need to be uploaded into the Daily Pass at dailypass.lausd.net, with a photo of the test kit that includes the following written on a separate piece of paper:

Symptomatic Positive Tests
  • Symptomatic individuals who test positive begin their isolation period with their symptom onset date as Day 0. They may end their isolation before Day 10, provided symptoms are improving and they have been fever-free for the past 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

  • Positive individuals leaving isolation before Day 10 must wear a highly protective mask at all times indoors and around others outdoors, through day 10.

  •

Students may unmask if they have two sequential negative tests taken at least a day apart and are uploaded and approved in Daily Pass.

Asymptomatic Positive Tests
  • Asymptomatic individuals who test positive are not required to isolate but are required to wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask when around others for 10 days.
  • Day 0 is the day the first positive test was collected.
  • If symptoms develop, the new Day 0 is the first day of symptom onset.
